AMD FX APU – HP Envy Touchsmart Laptop Review

It’s that time again, time to upgrade your computer – whether you have a desktop or a laptop it has gotten to the point where you would rather just have no computer at all than use your current machine. It is more affordable than ever now to upgrade your computer – however the bad news is that, in a sea of mediocre machines it can be painfully difficult for the average person to answer the question “What computer should I buy next?”.

If you want to save money, you usually can’t play any games – if you go for the gaming rigs, you break your bank pretty quickly – and all of the in between computers REALLY suck. If you are looking for a sweet in between laptop that will give you the best of both worlds within your budget (usually around $500 – $800 for most people) then you definitely need to check out the AMD FX APU – HP Envy Touchsmart. This laptop provides extreme performance of AMD’s most powerful mobile processer to deliver exceptional Gaming and Entertainment experience– the AMD FX Special Edition APU!

Get Your Game On, And Turn In That Project

The price looks great – coming in at $629.99 exclusively at Best Buy – but looking at the specs can scare away the gamers – UNTIL you see that it has AMD’s Radeon R7 integrated graphics which is a bit better than Intels HD line of integrated graphics – still not as good as a dedicated GPU but hey, we are on a budget here! It is also geared towards gamers with the AMD FX-7500 accelerated processor ready to backup those graphics pumping out of the 1366 x 768 HD resolution touch screen display as you experience the processing power of 10 compute cores (4 CPU + 6 GPU).

The kids will love the touch screen able to take advantage of the latest games like Cut The Rope (I know mine love it!) – this mid range laptop is capable of literally anything you will throw at it such as streaming movies or videos and provides great video quality for gaming or catching up on your favorite youtube videos. If you are like most people you will probably use it as a dedicated internet machine and it is more than powerful enough to serve you in that capacity – and if you want to fire up some minecraft or photoshop tasks afterwards then it will handle those too. Speaking of gaming.

Sounds Good To Me

You will enjoy hearing your games as they were meant to be heard with the Beats Audio outputting amazing sound, rich audio and deep bass, as the brand is known for. You’ll enjoy it especially after you download the FREE game that comes with this PC – that’s right, I told you it was geared towards gamers didn’t I? AMD has bundled in a free game with this laptop as part of the AMD A10/FX Eligible Games which allows you to download a free game when you buy select AMD-based PCs! Get your game on!

The Perfect Budget Gaming Rig?

Is it the perfect gaming laptop? Of course not – there is no such thing unless you have a TON of money to throw at it – but then it wouldn’t be perfect either huh? This laptop gives us the best of both worlds with compromises on the RAM and HD space (6 gigs of RAM is enough for most anything you need to do – and 750GB of HD space is nothing to shake a stick at, plenty!) as well as the omission of the CD/DVD drive (but these days that is pretty standard, with faster internet connections you don’t need it) other than those things that we wish were a little better configured it is a stand up machine – and if you are on the market for a new laptop for work or for pleasure, you’d be hard pressed to find a more well rounded laptop that can handle work and play as well as the AMD FX APU – HP ENVY Touchsmart. So head over to your local best buy (they ship to the store) or get the free shipping (free shipping on orders of $35 or more) and send it directly to your door so you can stay in your underpants!

Happy Gaming!
